Plan Check Engineer

Our client is a full-service municipal engineering firm that provides several professional construction management, land development, and building engineering services.

Plan Check Engineer Responsibilities:

Examines plans and drawings and performs complex design engineering
Perform calculations on proposed construction, alteration or repair of buildings and associated structures to ensure compliance with public safety standards.
Reviews plans for complex commercial or industrial projects to determine compliance with relevant codes, laws or regulations.
Determines the acceptability of engineering design methods, soil reports, shop drawings, alternate materials and methods of construction.
Represents the city at meetings and assists architects, engineers and developers with proposed developments.

Plan Check Engineer Requirements:

BS in Civil Engineer
CA PE is a Must
Strong experience with structural and commercial plan checks
8+ years of professional civil engineering experience
Knowledge of the State of California's Building Standards
