Executive Chef – Conference Center & Executive Dining
Salary: $120,000
Full-Time | Leadership Role | P&L Responsibility
We are seeking a polished, experienced Executive Chef to lead culinary operations for a high-profile conference center and upscale café operation. This role oversees a $5M+ food & beverage program, including executive dining, board-level events, conference catering, and high-volume café service.
This is not a patient dining environment.
The operation includes 11 meeting rooms, an upscale café and coffee program, grab-and-go offerings, and monthly/quarterly executive dining functions.
This position reports directly to the General Manager and requires strong financial stewardship, client-facing professionalism, and hands-on leadership.
What You’ll Oversee
- $2M+ conference center dining and events
- $3M café and retail food program
- 200–300 daily café guests
- Executive and board-level dining events
- Full P&L accountability
- 2 Sous Chefs and 1 Catering Chef
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all culinary operations with a focus on food quality and consistency
- Develop weekly café menus and seasonal updates
- Design high-end executive and board meeting menus
- Conduct tastings with internal leadership and clients
- Manage food cost, labor, and budget performance
- Coach and develop culinary team members
- Maintain kitchen organization, sanitation, and operational standards
- Collaborate directly with client stakeholders and leadership
- Uphold high expectations and accountability across the operation
What We’re Looking For
- Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef experience in:
- High-end conference centers
- Luxury hotels with strong banquet programs
- High-end contract food service
- Proven P&L and cost of goods management experience
- Strong banquet and executive dining background
- Experience leading and developing culinary teams
- Professional, client-facing presence
- Ability to accept feedback and continuously improve
- Strong organizational and IT skills (Word, Excel)
- Culinary degree preferred
