Paralegal / Legal Assistant – Trusts & Estates Group

Are you highly organized, detail-oriented, and energized by creating an exceptional client experience? We are seeking a Legal Assistant / Paralegal to support a growing estate planning and estate administration legal practice. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership of workflow, values precision, and is excited by opportunities to leverage legal technology and AI tools to improve efficiency and service. You’ll play an active role throughout the client journey—from intake through final execution—while supporting meaningful work that helps individuals, families, and business owners plan for the future.

What You’ll Do

  • Support estate planning, estate administration, and related legal matters from intake through completion
  • Prepare, edit, organize, and proofread legal documents under attorney supervision
  • Coordinate client communications and deliver a responsive, polished experience
  • Assist with trust and probate administration matters
  • Support small business planning and entity formation projects
  • Manage calendars, deadlines, workflows, and legal files
  • Conduct legal and factual research using traditional and technology-enabled tools
  • Help improve internal processes through smart use of automation and legal tech

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and follow-through
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with a team
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and document formatting
  • Professional judgment and discretion handling confidential information
  • Client-service mindset and proactive communication style

Preferred Background

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
  • Prior law firm, estate planning, probate, or legal support experience
  • Familiarity with legal practice management systems and document platforms
  • Notary commission (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience using legal technology or AI-supported workflow tools
  • Interest in estate planning, trusts, probate, and small business matters
