Project Manager – Private Works (Livermore, CA)

Project Manager Benefits & Compensation

Project Manager Requirements & Qualifications

  • 6–10 years of construction experience
  • Background with a General Engineering Class A contractor as a Project Manager
  • Experience with private work construction projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or Construction Management (BSCM) preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership abilities
  • Valid driver’s license
  • First Aid and CPR certification, and Competent Person training
  • Physical ability to work in active construction environments, lift up to 50 lbs, and endure varying outdoor conditions

Project Manager Preferred Background & Skills

  • Prior experience on underground pipelines, pump stations, water/wastewater treatment plants, site utilities, or complex civil works
  • Ability to interact effectively with stakeholders, subcontractors, engineers, and owners

Project Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Serve as the company’s on-site representative, engaging with all project stakeholders
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate field engineering activities to achieve project goals on time and within budget
  • Review job files, drawings, specifications, and manage submittals, schedules, and contracts
  • Organize and lead pre-construction meetings and job setup documentation
  • Develop site logistics and manage procurement, labor, and subcontractor coordination
  • Oversee safety, quality, productivity, and compliance throughout all project phases
  • Support project closeout activities, including punch lists, final walkthroughs, and as-built documentation
  • Respond to time-sensitive issues and travel between project sites as needed
