Our client is a Texas-based premier general contractor specializing in hospitality renovations, capital improvement programs, and commercial renovation within operating facilities. With a portfolio spanning 23 states and the Caribbean, they have renovated more than 10,000 hotel guest rooms and 15 million square feet of commercial space for all major hotel brands. This is a values-driven, EOS-operated company built on servant leadership, accountability, and a relentless commitment to doing construction differently. If you have the relationships, they have the team and infrastructure to close the work and deliver it.

Director of Business Development Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary: $80,000, commensurate with experience
  • Tiered, uncapped commission structure tied to contracted revenue and project gross margin
  • Performance incentives for repeat-client and program-level relationships
  • Total earning potential in excess of $250,000 annually for top producers
  • W2 employment
  • Location: Texas, I-35 Corridor preferred (Belton, Temple, Waco, or Austin area)

Director of Business Development Requirements and Qualifications

  • 5 to 7 years of business development, sales, or client management experience in commercial construction, hospitality renovation, general contracting, or owner's representation
  • Demonstrated ability to close renovation or construction contracts in the $250,000 to $3 million range
  • Active and portable book of relationships with hotel ownership groups, third-party management companies, owner's representative firms, or brand-certified designers
  • Ability to introduce qualified opportunities and initiate client meetings within 30 to 60 days of hire
  • Collaborative working style with the ability to partner with internal estimating and preconstruction teams through the full proposal and contract process
  • Located in Texas or an adjacent market with the ability to regularly visit the client's central Texas office

Director of Business Development Must Haves

  • Existing pipeline of active hospitality renovation or commercial construction opportunities that are portable and ready to pursue
  • Proven track record of relationship-driven sales — not bid board or RFP-response driven business development
  • Experience with Property Improvement Plans (PIPs), brand conversion projects, capital improvement programs, or FF&E procurement and installation within operating hotel environments
  • ·Deal profile that reflects 15 to 20 meaningful client relationships producing contracts in the $250,000 to $3 million range, not high-volume small-deal flow
  • Servant leader mentality with a team-first approach and the ability to stay engaged from opportunity introduction through contract execution
  • Hunger and commission confidence — this role rewards producers who bet on themselves

Director of Business Development Preferred Background and Skills

  • Existing relationships with hotel ownership groups, owner's representative firms, hospitality asset managers, brand-certified interior designers, or renovation-focused architects
  • Familiarity with major hotel brand standards, PIP requirements, and the capital planning cycle for ownership groups and third-party management companies
  • Experience representing a general contractor or construction firm in a client-facing business development capacity
  • Background in tenant improvement, retail renovation, restaurant renovation, or light commercial renovation as a secondary market
  • Familiarity with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) or experience working in an EOS-structured organization
  • Located along the I-35 corridor between Austin and Waco

If you have spent years building relationships in the hospitality renovation space and want a platform where your network translates directly into uncapped income, this is the role for you.
