Area Sales Director

Join an innovative hospitality group known for its modern, spacious extended-stay hotel portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to help drive growth for a rapidly expanding brand, making a true impact across multiple properties in the Tennessee market. You’ll play an integral role in overseeing two properties, shaping sales strategy while working closely with senior leadership and property teams.

Area Sales Director Benefits & Compensation

Area Sales Director Requirements & Qualifications

  • Multi-unit hotel sales and marketing experience required
  • A hospitality industry background is essential
  • Minimum 3–5 years of extended-stay hotel sales experience preferred
  • Must reside in the Tennessee area
  • Comfortable with frequent travel between properties and markets

Area Sales Director Preferred Background & Skills

  • Strong coaching and team leadership abilities
  • Experience negotiating corporate rates and managing B2B client relationships
  • Strong analytical skills to review market data and develop strategy
  • Familiarity with hotel market analysis tools (e.g., STR reports)
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

Area Sales Director Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement sales strategies to grow market share across multiple hotel properties
  • Analyze market trends and competition to identify opportunities and threats
  • Build, manage, and coach a sales-focused culture among General Managers
  • Develop and maintain sales databases, track leads, and oversee pricing strategies
  • Organize sales blitzes, community outreach, and prospecting initiatives to attract new business
  • Negotiate corporate and group rates, manage client relationships, and represent properties at key events
  • Provide ongoing strategic feedback to executive leadership to maintain a competitive edge
