Seeking an experienced Trust & Estates Paralegal to join a growing boutique law and wealth advisory practice serving high-net-worth individuals, business owners, executives, and multi-generational families. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the managing attorney in a highly personalized, client-focused environment where estate planning, wealth preservation, asset protection, and tax strategy intersect.
Responsibilities:
- Draft and prepare estate planning documents, including Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Healthcare Directives, and related documents
- Assist with trust funding and asset transfer coordination
- Manage probate and estate administration matters from inception through closing
- Prepare and file Surrogate Court documents and related probate filings
- Coordinate with clients, financial advisors, accountants, and other professional advisors
- Gather and organize financial, tax, and asset information for estate and trust matters
- Maintain estate administration calendars and deadlines
- Assist with preparation of estate and trust accountings
- Support tax-related estate planning initiatives and wealth preservation strategies
- Maintain accurate client files and case management systems
- Communicate directly with clients regarding document collection, status updates, and next steps
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of Trust & Estates Paralegal experience
- Strong experience with estate planning and probate administration
- Knowledge of New Jersey probate procedures and Surrogate Court filings
- Experience preparing estate planning documents and trust administration materials
- Ability to manage multiple matters independently with minimal supervision
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems
- Experience working with high-net-worth clients preferred
- Familiarity with estate, trust, and gift tax concepts is a plus
