Restaurant General Manager Benefits

Restaurant General Manager Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of a high-volume restaurant operation with a focus on exceptional guest experiences and service excellence
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop management and hourly team members
  • Create a culture of accountability, hospitality, and continuous improvement
  • Drive guest engagement, community involvement, and repeat business
  • Maintain high standards for food quality, beverage execution, cleanliness, and overall operational excellence
  • Analyze financial performance, manage labor and controllable costs, and drive profitability
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service standards
  • Collaborate with ownership and leadership teams to support growth initiatives and long-term business objectives

Restaurant General Manager Qualifications

  • Proven success as a General Manager in a high-volume, full-service restaurant
  • Strong food and beverage knowledge with a commitment to hospitality and guest satisfaction
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams
  • Background in independent or chef-driven restaurant concepts preferred
  • Solid understanding of P&L management, labor controls, and operational financials
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • ServSafe and TIPS Certification required
