We're seeking a Scratch Bakery Manager to oversee all aspects of our bakery operations. What You'll Do
Bakery Leadership & Operations
- Lead daily bakery operations, ensuring smooth and efficient production.
- Oversee preparation and baking of breads, pastries, cakes, and specialty items made from scratch.
- Maintain exceptional standards for quality, consistency, presentation, and freshness.
- Develop production schedules that align with sales forecasts and customer demand.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
Team Development
- Recruit, train, coach, and mentor bakery team members.
- Create schedules that support operational needs while maximizing productivity.
- Foster a positive, accountable, and engaging workplace culture.
- Conduct performance reviews and support employee growth and development.
- Lead by example through active participation on the bakery floor.
Financial & Inventory Management
- Manage labor, food costs, and operating expenses.
- Monitor sales trends and implement strategies to drive revenue growth.
- Oversee inventory management, ordering, and vendor relationships.
- Minimize waste while maintaining product availability and quality.
Customer Experience
- Deliver an exceptional guest experience through outstanding service and product quality.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and effectively.
- Build strong relationships with customers and become a valued presence in the community.
Product Quality & Innovation
- Maintain recipe standards and baking procedures.
- Partner with ownership and leadership to introduce seasonal offerings and new products.
- Monitor customer feedback and continuously improve bakery offerings.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of bakery, food production, culinary, or hospitality management experience.
- Experience in a scratch bakery, artisan bakery, pastry kitchen, or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and production processes.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and operations.
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal baking, pastry, or culinary training.
- Experience managing food and labor costs.
- Familiarity with bakery management software and POS systems.
- High-volume bakery or multi-unit experience.
