A growing precision manufacturer is seeking a Quality Engineer with aerospace experience to support daily quality operations, inspection planning and execution, documentation, and customer driven requirements as new work is won. This is a hands on engineering role that partners closely with inspectors, machinists, and the site Quality Manager to ensure product meets customer expectations and applicable regulatory standards. The role fits an engineer who likes solving problems on the floor, interpreting technical drawings, and improving process controls in a fast paced environment.

Quality Engineer Responsibilities

  • Complete inspections, review job packages, and support product and process qualification activities
  • Support AS9100 and ISO 9001 compliance through audits, corrective action support, and controlled document updates
  • Interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications, including GD and T, to verify conformance and define acceptance criteria
  • Support FAIRs, PPAP submissions, SCAR responses, source inspections, and other customer quality deliverables
  • Partner with production to troubleshoot machining and inspection issues, investigate variation, and drive containment as needed
  • Maintain and improve QMS documentation including procedures, controlled forms, and work instructions
  • Support continuous improvement efforts on the shop floor under the direction of the Quality Manager

Quality Engineer Requirements

  • 3 to 7 years of quality engineering experience in machining, aerospace, automotive, or a similarly regulated manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor’s degree required in engineering, industrial engineering, business, or other STEM aligned field
  • Strong GD and T and drawing interpretation capability plus working knowledge of machining and inspection processes
  • AS9100 or ISO 9001 experience required, NADCAP exposure is a plus
  • Working familiarity with FAIRs, PPAP, corrective actions, SCARs, and similar quality engineering toolsets
  • Comfortable working hands on in a smaller site environment with multiple responsibilities
  • Clear communicator who can work effectively with production, engineering, and quality teams
  • Stable tenure history with limited job hopping
