A growing precision manufacturer is seeking an experienced Production Control and Supply Chain Manager to lead site level planning, scheduling, purchasing, inventory control, and logistics in support of on time delivery and operational performance. This is a senior leadership role that owns delivery commitment feasibility at the site, aligning capacity, materials, and schedule priorities with production realities. The role is ideal for a hands on leader who thrives in a fast paced precision machining environment and can drive disciplined execution across planning, materials, and the shop floor.
Production Control and Supply Chain Manager What You Will Do
- Own site level capacity planning across labor, work centers, and critical constraints, and define delivery commitment feasibility based on capacity, materials, and production readiness
- Lead development, maintenance, and execution of the site production schedule including work order release, prioritization, and recovery planning for jobs at risk
- Oversee material requirements planning, purchasing execution, inventory accuracy, and supplier performance to support production and delivery requirements
- Lead receiving, shipping, storage, and internal material flow to ensure accuracy, traceability, and alignment with customer requirements
- Partner with Production, Process Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Corporate Sales to keep customer commitments grounded in operational reality
- Serve as the primary site escalation point for schedule disruptions, material constraints, and order flow breakdowns
- Lead, coach, and develop Production Control, Supply Chain, and Materials team members with clear priorities and accountability
- Own department metrics including schedule adherence, on time delivery, inventory accuracy, and supplier performance
- Drive continuous improvement in planning discipline, transaction accuracy, material flow, and delivery reliability
Production Control and Supply Chain Manager What You Bring
- 7+ years of experience in production control, planning, supply chain, or operations leadership within a manufacturing environment
- Aerospace, defense, precision machining, or other regulated manufacturing experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred
- Strong ERP and MRP systems experience required
- Demonstrated track record in capacity planning, scheduling, material planning, and cross functional execution
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills
- Proven leadership capability in fast paced manufacturing operations
- Comfort operating as the site authority on delivery feasibility and schedule risk
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to perform all duties in compliance with US export control laws without employer sponsored export authorization
