A precision machining manufacturer is seeking a Quality Inspector to support second shift first piece, in process, and final inspection on tight tolerance components. This role reads prints, uses standard inspection tools, documents results for traceability, and escalates nonconformances to protect the customer and production flow.

Quality Inspector, Second Shift What You Will Do

  • Perform first piece, in process, and final inspections to drawings and customer requirements
  • Interpret prints and inspection plans, including GD and T callouts and datum structures
  • Use common inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, height and bore gages, pin and thread gages
  • Document results accurately, including AS9102 first article documentation when required
  • Identify and segregate nonconforming material and support containment and corrective actions
  • Verify gage calibration status and maintain a clean, organized work area

Quality Inspector, Second Shift What You Will Bring

  • Manufacturing experience that includes measurement or inspection responsibilities
  • Strong blueprint reading skills and comfort with basic inspection plans
  • Working knowledge of common measuring tools and shop math conversions
  • Comfort with computer based documentation and data entry
  • Prior inspection experience in a machining environment preferred
  • Exposure to ISO 9001 or AS9100 practices preferred
