HVAC Service Technician Requirements & Qualifications:

Must Haves

• Minimum 5 years of verifiable HVAC field experience

• EPA Certification

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

• Clean driving record

• Ability to work independently without supervision

• Professional appearance and strong homeowner communication skills

• Ability to lift 75 lbs and work in attics and crawl spaces

Core Responsibilities

• Independently diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems

• Service furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and indoor air quality systems

• Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections

• Clearly explain findings and recommendations to homeowners

• Accurately document work in service software

• Maintain organized truck inventory and proper job materials

• Follow all safety standards and company procedures

HVAC Service Technician Preferred Background & Skills:

Nice to Have

• Experience servicing heat pumps and high-efficiency systems

• Experience working in residential-only environments

• Strong customer retention mindset

• Experience participating in on-call or emergency rotation schedules
