Chef de Cuisine Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant culinary management experience, ideally in Italian fine dining or upscale restaurants with units generating $4–5 million
  • Deep understanding of seasonal ingredients, plating aesthetics, and kitchen management
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills
  • Professional, articulate, friendly, and punctual demeanor
  • Demonstrated drive for exceptional guest service
  • Open availability
  • Professional appearance and grooming standards suitable for premier fine dining

Chef de Cuisine Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and inspire a high-performing culinary team
  • Develop and execute seasonal menus with an emphasis on quality, creativity, and consistency
  • Oversee all kitchen operations, including inventory, costing, and vendor relationships
  • Uphold the highest standards of health, sanitation, and safety
  • Foster a culture of respect, discipline, and positive growth within the kitchen
