Litigation Attorney- Personal Injury Requirements & Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • Active member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
  • 2 to 5 years of personal injury litigation experience in Florida.
  • Solid understanding of Florida Rules of Civil Procedure.
  • Demonstrated experience with claim evaluation and case valuation.
  • Skilled in negotiation, case management, and written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to independently manage deadlines and a busy litigation docket.

Litigation Attorney- Personal Injury Preferred Background & Skills

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Organized, proactive, and comfortable handling depositions and motion practice.
  • Strong client focus and interpersonal skills.
  • Motivated to expand litigation expertise within a supportive team setting.

Litigation Attorney- Personal Injury Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Manage an assigned caseload through all stages of litigation.
  • Develop case strategy and evaluate liability, damages, and exposures.
  • Draft and respond to written discovery.
  • Take and defend depositions of parties and witnesses.
  • Draft and argue motions as needed.
  • Prepare cases for mediation and settlement negotiations.
  • Communicate with clients regarding progress and strategy.
  • Negotiate with insurance carriers and opposing counsel.
  • Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure court deadlines are met.
