Plumbing Service Superintendent Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of plumbing experience (service and/or construction)
• At least 5 years of supervisory experience in plumbing service operations
• Thorough knowledge of plumbing service methods, diagnostics, scheduling, and labor coordination
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
• Advanced understanding of service profitability, scheduling, dispatch, and cost control
• Valid driver's license
• Plumbing Journeyman license in the State of Hawaii

Plumbing Service Superintendent Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Lead and manage service foremen and technicians, including scheduling, workflow, and performance standards
• Coordinate daily field operations with dispatch and other departments to ensure timely project delivery
• Establish and enhance standard operating procedures for service quality and profitability
• Conduct job audits, site visits, and ensure customer satisfaction while minimizing callbacks and warranty issues
• Support hiring, training, and ongoing professional development for all service division staff
• Collaborate on internal meetings, profitability reviews, and business development efforts
• Step in to handle emergency and overflow service calls as needed
