A growing, forward-thinking healthcare organization is seeking a Medical Director (Physician) in San Antonio, TX to lead within a functional and integrative care model focused on addressing root causes, preventing disease, and optimizing long-term patient health.

This is a unique opportunity for a physician who believes in whole-person care, combining clinical leadership with hands-on patient care in a model that prioritizes prevention, longevity, and personalized treatment over volume.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care rooted in functional and preventive medicine principles
• Oversee clinical quality, safety, and consistency across the care team
• Guide personalized treatment plans, diagnostics, and therapies
• Support and mentor nurse practitioners and clinical staff
• Serve as a clinical resource for complex cases
• Help shape and refine care protocols that focus on long-term outcomes
• Partner with leadership to support a thoughtful, scalable care model

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active state license
• Board-certified or board-eligible (IM, FM, EM, or related)
• Experience collaborating with advanced practice providers
• Strong clinical judgment and patient-centered approach
• Interest in functional, integrative, or longevity-focused care (experience preferred, not required)
