Structural Engineer (PE) – Federal / DoD Projects

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Compensation: Competitive salary + bonuses + vehicle allowance + full benefits

A nationally recognized design-build contractor specializing in Department of Defense (DoD) and federal facility projects is seeking a Professional Engineer (PE) to join their growing structural team.

This is an opportunity to work on large-scale, mission-critical military and federal projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.


What You’ll Do

  • Lead structural analysis and design for Navy, Air Force, Army Corps, and other federal facilities
  • Design structural systems including steel, concrete, masonry, and foundations
  • Develop construction documents and structural models using Revit
  • Perform structural analysis using RISA Suite and TEDDS
  • Coordinate with architects, mechanical, electrical, and civil teams
  • Support construction administration, RFIs, and submittal reviews
  • Contribute to constructability reviews and design-build collaboration

What We’re Looking For

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) – required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Experience in building structural design (not telecom or industrial-only)
  • Strong proficiency with:
    • Revit (structural modeling and documentation)
    • RISA (3D, Floor, or Foundation)
    • TEDDS
  • Experience with steel, concrete, masonry, and foundation systems
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work cross-functionally
  • Experience with federal or DoD projects is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with UFC criteria is a strong plus
