Motion Designer / Video Editor

Full-Time | New York, NY (Hybrid – In Office 3 Days Per Week)

Position Overview

We’re seeking a Motion Designer / Video Editor with 5+ years of experience to join our team full-time. This role focuses primarily on motion graphics and video editing, creating high-impact visuals across live events, social media, and marketing campaigns, while also supporting graphic design needs across multiple event brands.

Working closely with the Creative Director, you’ll help bring music, energy, and live experiences to life through stage visuals, social content, and branded campaigns. This role is ideal for someone who executes at a high level, moves quickly, contributes creative ideas, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create and animate stage visuals for live events (motion loops, lyric visuals, motion systems)
  • Edit promotional video content for social media and paid campaigns
  • Develop animated assets for marketing campaigns, teasers, and branded content
  • Execute and evolve visual systems across multiple event brands
  • Design supporting creative assets including posters, social graphics, and campaign materials
  • Collaborate closely with the Creative Director across motion and static design work
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a high-output creative environment

Qualifications

Required Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years of motion design, video editing, or related experience
  • Strong portfolio showcasing motion graphics, video editing, and graphic design work
  • Advanced proficiency in:
    • Adobe After Effects
    • Adobe Premiere Pro
    • Photoshop
    • Illustrator
    • Canva
  • Strong understanding of typography, layout, branding, hierarchy, and visual systems
  • Ability to take direction, execute quickly, and contribute creative ideas
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Stays current on design trends, social trends, emerging technology, and creative tools

Preferred

  • Experience in music, nightlife, entertainment, live events, or cultural brands
  • Familiarity with AI creative tools such as Midjourney, Firefly, Nanobanana, or similar workflows
  • Comfortable working in small teams and fast-paced environments

Compensation

$70,000 – $80,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
