Location: Cedar Rapids/Quad Cities, Iowa

Pay Range: $35.00 – $45.00/hour (based on experience & certifications)

Full-Time | Remote

Join one of the Midwest’s leading life safety providers, dedicated to protecting people and property through reliable fire alarm and life safety solutions. We’re looking for a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to install, service, and maintain commercial fire alarm and low-voltage life safety systems.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Install, service, and repair commercial fire alarm systems and life safety devices
  • Program or reprogram systems using computers and dedicated programming tools
  • Test, inspect, and verify functionality of alarm panels, strobes, horns, sirens, and other devices
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable codes and manufacturer specifications
  • Maintain accurate records and submit required paperwork daily
  • Maintain company vehicle cleanliness and perform routine maintenance
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and occasionally oversee other technicians

What We’re Looking For:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; degree in Electronics or 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Must be able to obtain NICET II certification within 2 years of hire
  • Must qualify for required state licenses or certifications related to the security industry
  • Positive, team-oriented individual who takes pride in delivering quality work
  • Ability to follow procedures, work independently, and problem-solve in the field

Preferred Experience (Not Required):

  • Notifier, Simplex, EST, or similar fire alarm systems
  • Video Surveillance / CCTV systems
  • Access Control systems
  • Nurse Call systems
