A Luxury Resort is seeking an experienced Director of Banquets. Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, the Director of Banquets oversees all banquet and meeting operations, ensuring exceptional service standards, strong financial performance, and outstanding client experiences. This role works closely with Culinary, Sales, and Marketing teams to deliver seamless, high-quality events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all banquet service teams, including captains, servers, and house staff
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop banquet personnel
  • Oversee daily banquet operations and event execution
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and event planners
  • Ensure accurate staffing, room setups, and adherence to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
  • Implement service standards, training programs, and operating procedures
  • Manage equipment, inventory, and breakage control
  • Monitor cleanliness and maintenance of function spaces
  • Control labor and operating costs
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance
  • Review event billing, service charges, and payroll

Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership experience in hotel or resort banquet operations
  • Strong organizational and client relationship skills
  • Financial and cost-control expertise
  • Ability to lead large service teams in a fast-paced environment
