Commercial Electrical Construction Project Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of commercial electrical project management experience preferred
- Experience managing hospital or healthcare construction projects strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems and construction processes
- Proven experience leading field teams and project staff
- Proficiency in project management, scheduling, and budgeting software
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Commercial Electrical Construction Project Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of electrical construction for hospital and healthcare facility projects
- Supervise and direct Electrical Superintendents, Assistant Project Managers, and field teams
- Manage project budgets, schedules, forecasting, and cost controls
- Oversee procurement processes, subcontractor coordination, and material management
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards, NEC codes, and healthcare construction regulations
- Maintain thorough documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Foster strong working relationships with clients, general contractors, and project stakeholders
- Conduct regular project meetings and provide timely progress reports
- Support workforce planning and productivity to ensure quality workmanship and on-time completion
