General Manager

General Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a general manager in the restaurant industry
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
- Manager Food Safety certification and ServSafe Alcohol Certification
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong ability to build relationships with guests and team members
General Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Bilingual abilities are a plus
General Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Consistently deliver exceptional customer service, proactively resolving concerns and fostering guest loyalty
- Serve as the “personality” of the restaurant, engaging with regulars and participating in community activities
- Oversee all daily operations, ensuring high standards for food quality, service, and cleanliness
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver outstanding menu offerings and streamline service
- Lead, motivate, and develop staff through hiring, training, and ongoing coaching, supporting their growth and success
- Manage scheduling, labor forecasting, and budget adherence to drive profitability
- Implement and uphold all food safety, handling, and sanitation requirements, ensuring a safe work environment
- Execute company marketing programs and local initiatives to drive sales and grow the restaurant’s reputation
