Assistant General Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a scratch kitchen, upscale restaurant concept
- At least 2 years’ current salaried management experience in high-volume restaurants
- Demonstrated leadership, accountability, and team-building abilities
- Strong communication skills with a positive, enthusiastic attitude
- Deep passion for food, beverage, and hospitality
- Proven ability to support and develop team members
- Familiarity with operational systems and processes
- Local to Austin area (minimum 2 years residency)
Assistant General Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Strong knowledge of wine, craft cocktails, and menu development
- Commitment to local sourcing and supporting community farmers
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required
Assistant General Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and support front- and back-of-house teams to provide outstanding service
- Conduct regular line checks to maintain food quality and safety standards
- Prepare end-of-shift and daily financial reports
- Ensure adherence to company best practices and uphold brand standards
- Manage daily operations, driving a positive guest experience and team culture
