A well-established, locally owned restaurant and smokehouse group recognized for its strong culture, long-term staff retention, and high-volume operations is seeking an Executive Chef to lead back-of-house operations in a hands-on, systems-driven environment.
This is a highly operational leadership role. The Executive Chef will work closely alongside the kitchen team while overseeing labor management, inventory systems, food safety standards, kitchen organization, and daily execution. The barbecue program itself is already established and managed internally, so prior BBQ experience is not required.

What You’ll Do:
- Lead daily back-of-house operations and kitchen execution
- Manage labor, scheduling, payroll, and time-clock controls
- Oversee inventory, ordering, and food cost management
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and kitchen standards
- Ensure HACCP, sanitation, and food safety compliance
- Train, mentor, and hold kitchen staff accountable
- Work alongside the team during service periods
- Help improve operational systems and overall efficiencies
- Maintain consistency in food quality and execution
- Lead by example in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of Executive Chef, Kitchen Manager, or senior kitchen leadership experience
- Strong systems and organizational mindset
- Experience managing labor and inventory controls
- Hands-on leadership style with strong accountability
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Food safety and sanitation knowledge required
- Stable work history preferred
- Catering or banquet experience is a plus
- Corporate or structured kitchen systems experience is a plus
- Basic Spanish communication skills would be helpful, but are not required
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong kitchen operator who enjoys leading from the front, building structure within a team, and creating consistency in a well-established, high-volume operation.
