Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; additional education is a plus
  • Minimum of 5+ years of CNC machinist experience
  • Experience operating HAAS 3-axis and 5-axis mills and production lathes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, and tooling selection
  • Proficiency in part inspection using standard measurement tools
  • Strong shop math skills and mechanical aptitude
  • U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a security clearance

Must haves:

  • Set up and run HAAS CNC mills (3-axis and 5-axis) and production lathes to produce precision components
  • Manufacture and modify custom fixtures to support new product development
  • Prove out new CNC programs and troubleshoot machining issues during initial runs
  • Inspect finished parts against engineering drawings to ensure strict compliance
  • Adjust machining processes in real-time based on material behavior and tolerance requirements
  • Maintain detailed production records and ensure traceability of work
  • Adapt quickly to shifting production priorities and support cross-functional shop needs
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment

Preferred Background & Skills:

  • Experience with Swiss CNC screw machines
  • Background in aerospace, defense, or high-precision manufacturing environments
  • Strong attention to detail and quality-driven mindset
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support broader production goals
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-mix/low-volume production settings
