The VP of Sales reports to the General Manager of the Property. The position requires someone with strong leadership and organizational skills to drive the company’s revenue expectations; establishing and directing the goals through motivation and clear communication; ensuring positive team member and owner relations; strong sales skills; strategizing; multi-tasking; initiative; and business professionalism.  

 

VP of Sales Responsibilities:

  • Communicate corporate directives and information to the sales team.
  • Guidance and support on development, solicitation, and closing group bookings.
  • Support, lead and participate in scheduled weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly calls.
  • Work in connection with General Manager to regularly establish and monitor goals and production, to include accurate and timely forecasting of anticipated sales.
  • Develop and implement the total sales and marketing efforts, including securing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, supervising activities of sales personnel, and executing sales and marketing strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships sales team to help increase team unity and production.
  • Develop strategies to maximize sales by knowing the right time for specific sales.
  • Maintain product knowledge of the brand through established company standards.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and local events.

VP of Sales Requirements:

  • Must have hotel and large venue sales experience in excess of 75,000 sq ft plus
  • Hotel blocks and group sales expereinced required
  • Forbes 4 Diamond experience preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience in a VP of sales position
  • Local relationships established are a plus
  • Polished communication both written and verbal
  • Polished presentation
