We are working on a VP of Talent & HR search for our client, a growing, execution-driven business that needs a true operator to elevate talent, leadership, and performance across the company. This role reports to the President and has real influence on how the business scales. The right candidate must be based within an hour of Charlotte, but is fully remote.

They don’t need someone to manage HR—they need someone to upgrade the entire talent system:

  • Build a real succession and bench strategy (not check-the-box)
  • Drive A-player standards and increase talent density
  • Install disciplined talent reviews and performance expectations
  • Create a leadership development engine that actually sticks in the field
  • Partner directly with the President on org design, talent risk, and leadership gaps

It’s a blue-collar, practical environment—this will not work for someone who lives in theory. It will work for someone who knows how to translate strategy into execution and hold leaders accountable.

Why it’s compelling:

  • Direct access to the President and executive team
  • Real mandate to build vs. inherit
  • High visibility, high impact, and zero patience for mediocrity

If you’ve ever wanted a role where you can actually shape the leadership DNA of a company, this is that opportunity.
