Hotel Complex General Manager Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience managing teams through motivation, coaching, and development
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to multitask in a high-volume environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with computers and general office applications (word processing, spreadsheets, databases)
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of guests, associates, and leadership
  • High degree of reliability, attention to detail, and personal accountability
  • Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs

Hotel Complex General Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the highest degree of quality guest service and quickly resolve guest complaints or issues
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and clear direction to management and staff, promoting an inclusive and supportive culture
  • Oversee daily operations, maintain compliance with all standards and governmental regulations, and uphold stringent safety and cleanliness protocols
  • Manage financial performance, analyze profit and loss statements, control expenditures, and implement cost-saving measures
  • Collaborate with departments, including sales, revenue management, and call center to optimize property performance
  • Conduct regular property walks, celebrating successes and identifying areas for improvement through engagement with both guests and team members
