Executive Director / Administrator – Hospice

Location: Hattiesburg, MS

Reports To: Regional Director of Operations

Job Summary

Hospice organization is seeking an experienced Executive Director / Administrator to lead day-to-day operations of our Gulfport hospice agency. This leader is responsible for planning, directing, and evaluating hospice services; developing staff and interdisciplinary teams; ensuring regulatory compliance; and driving census growth, quality outcomes, and financial performance.

The Administrator partners with corporate leadership to uphold our mission, strengthen community relationships, and create a positive, high-performing culture for patients, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations, staffing, and hospice service delivery.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and accreditation standards.
Lead hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management of staff and volunteers.
Monitor clinical quality, documentation, and patient satisfaction.
Manage budgets, expenses, and operational performance metrics.
Build referral relationships and support census growth initiatives.
Promote a collaborative, mission-driven team culture.

Qualifications

Licensed Physician, RN, MSW, or Bachelor’s-prepared healthcare professional.
3+ years healthcare management experience (hospice or home health preferred).
Strong leadership, compliance knowledge, and operational management skills.
Excellent communication, team-building, and problem-solving abilities.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as needed.
