Attorney – Senior Associate or Counsel – Labor & Employment – Uniondale, NY

Attorney – Senior Associate or Counsel – Labor & Employment Requirements & Qualifications

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Admission to the New York Bar, or eligibility for prompt admission
Minimum 3–5 years of labor and employment law experience
Demonstrated ability in handling investigations and litigation
Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and exercise sound judgment
Commitment to client service and the highest ethical standards

Attorney – Senior Associate or Counsel – Labor & Employment Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Conduct internal corporate and government investigations for employer clients
Defend and litigate lawsuits involving employment-related claims and agency charges
Advise, counsel, and train employers on employment and labor law issues, including FMLA, ADA, and NYS Civil Service Law
Represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, and in mediations or arbitrations
Assist in collective bargaining negotiations with labor unions
Defend against wage and hour, collective, and class action matters, as well as NLRB and PERB filings
