Director of Finance –

Director of Finance Requirements & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Director of Finance in hospitality – resorts, hotels, or clubs (minimum 3 years required).
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or mathematics.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, accounting controls, and financial processes.
  • Experience overseeing accounting operations, including GL, A/P, A/R, payroll, tax compliance, and fixed assets.
  • Experience managing budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial reporting.
  • Audit coordination and regulatory compliance experience.
  • Strategic financial planning and analysis capabilities.

Director of Finance Preferred Background & Skills

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to interact with executive leadership and external partners.
  • Integrity, business acumen, and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities.

Director of Finance Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Lead all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Oversee accounting functions and staff, including A/P, A/R, payroll, tax compliance, and fixed assets.
  • Provide financial guidance to executive leadership and ensure alignment with company strategy.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and cost efficiencies to maintain financial stability.
  • Prepare and analyze timely financial and operational reports (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual).
  • Ensure strong internal controls, compliance with GAAP, and protection of company assets.
  • Colaborate with multiple departments, find solutions, and share knowledge.
