We are partnering with a leading, privately held manufacturer in the healthcare and industrial space to hire a Principal AI Engineer. This is a newly created, high-impact role designed for a hands-on technical leader who wants to build and scale AI capabilities from the ground up.

Principal AI Engineer Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the company’s AI strategy and roadmap
- Design and deploy machine learning models and AI-driven solutions across the business
- Identify and prioritize opportunities to apply AI in areas such as supply chain, planning, forecasting, and operations
- Build scalable systems and reduce reliance on third-party AI vendors
- Partner cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and leadership teams
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear business insights and recommendations
- Establish best practices for AI architecture, deployment, and governance
- Contribute to long-term opportunities to integrate AI into product offerings
Principal AI Engineer Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in AI, machine learning, or data science
- Proven experience building and deploying production-level AI/ML solutions
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data pipelines
- Ability to operate at both a hands-on and strategic level
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with non-technical stakeholders
- Experience applying AI to real-world business problems is required
- Experience in manufacturing, healthcare, or industrial environments is a plus
