Principal AI Engineer Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of the company’s AI strategy and roadmap
Design and deploy machine learning models and AI-driven solutions across the business
Identify and prioritize opportunities to apply AI in areas such as supply chain, planning, forecasting, and operations
Build scalable systems and reduce reliance on third-party AI vendors
Partner cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and leadership teams
Translate complex technical concepts into clear business insights and recommendations
Establish best practices for AI architecture, deployment, and governance
Contribute to long-term opportunities to integrate AI into product offerings

Principal AI Engineer Qualifications

8+ years of experience in AI, machine learning, or data science
Proven experience building and deploying production-level AI/ML solutions
Strong programming skills in Python and experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data pipelines
Ability to operate at both a hands-on and strategic level
Strong communication skills and ability to work with non-technical stakeholders
Experience applying AI to real-world business problems is required
Experience in manufacturing, healthcare, or industrial environments is a plus
