A premier resort destination is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Event Manager to oversee the seamless coordination and execution of weddings, galas, conventions, and meetings. This safety-sensitive position plays a key leadership role in managing high-profile events, mentoring team members, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. The Senior Event Manager collaborates cross-functionally to drive revenue, maintain profitability, and uphold elevated service standards. This role offers scheduling flexibility, including potential work-from-home days.

Senior Event Manager Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of Resort Catering/Event Management experience
  • High School Diploma required; college degree preferred
  • Strong financial acumen, including forecasting and revenue management
  • Proficiency in event management systems (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office, and basic AV knowledge
  • Proven leadership skills with ability to mentor and develop team members

Senior Event Manager Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, and execute weddings, galas, conventions, and meetings while maintaining profitability
  • Lead BEO meetings and serve as primary contact for high-profile clients
  • Coordinate cross-departmental logistics, guest room blocks, and vendor partnerships
  • Prepare and manage event documentation including event orders and setup diagrams
  • Conduct pre- and post-event meetings; ensure client satisfaction and timely follow-up
