Facilities Manager – Tyler, TX

Facilities Manager Requirements & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification or vocational training in facilities management or related field preferred
  • Valid state alcohol-server permit and Manager ServSafe Certification required
  • Proven experience in facilities management or a similar role, with a strong understanding of maintenance and repair procedures
  • Strong technical skills for troubleshooting and repairing a variety of equipment and systems
  • Excellent organizational, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods, climb stairs, lift 50 pounds, and work comfortably in environments with flashing lights and loud noises

Facilities Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance and repair needs, prioritizing tasks for minimal disruption
  • Perform routine repairs and maintenance on games, equipment, and facility infrastructure, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
  • Oversee janitorial team, managing cleaning schedules to uphold cleanliness standards throughout the venue
  • Maintain landscaping, including lawn care, gardening, and snow removal, to ensure a welcoming exterior
  • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs, ensuring timeliness and cost-effectiveness
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to prolong equipment lifespan and minimize downtime
  • Monitor inventory levels for maintenance supplies, ordering replenishments as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards, addressing issues promptly
  • Collaborate with department heads to support overall operational objectives
