Position: Senior Project Controls Specialist – Portfolio Analytics & Performance Insights

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on, analytical Senior Project Controls Specialist to join our team, supporting portfolio analytics and performance insights within the utilities sector (primarily transmission). This role sits at the intersection of data analysis, project controls, and portfolio management—ideal for someone who enjoys connecting data across multiple systems to drive informed decision-making.

This is a high-impact opportunity to work closely with leadership, providing visibility into project performance, resource utilization, cost tracking, and overall portfolio health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pull, consolidate, and analyze data from multiple sources, including external systems, scheduling tools, and project management platforms
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and ad-hoc reports to track project and portfolio performance
  • Provide insights into resource allocation, cost management, and project health
  • Support portfolio-level analysis by identifying trends, risks, and opportunities across multiple projects
  • Partner with project teams to improve planning, forecasting, and operational visibility
  • Track and surface key risk indicators through data analysis
  • Work with structured datasets and databases to support reporting and analytics needs
  • Navigate and optimize project controls systems and data workflows

Qualifications

  • 10–15 years of experience in project controls, portfolio analytics, or project performance reporting
  • Background in utilities (transmission preferred)
  • Strong, hands-on experience with Power BI (required)
  • Proven ability to work with large datasets and multiple data sources
  • Experience with project management and scheduling tools
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
