We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Special Events Coordinator to join a high-energy, upscale dining destination in the heart of downtown Chicago. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about creating memorable guest experiences through seamless event execution.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $65,000 – $70,000
Commission on events booked and executed

What You’ll Do

Manage the full lifecycle of private events from inquiry to execution
Drive sales through inbound leads, outbound outreach, and relationship building
Coordinate all event details including menus, layouts, timelines, and special requests
Partner closely with culinary and operations teams to ensure flawless execution
Serve as the main point of contact for clients before, during, and after events
Conduct site tours and present event offerings with confidence and enthusiasm
Maximize revenue through strategic upselling and personalized guest experiences

Events hosted are both intimate gatherings and large receptions up to 200+ guests for:

Corporate dinners and networking events
Rehearsal dinners and wedding celebrations
Holiday parties and milestone occasions
Social gatherings and private dining experiences

What We’re Looking For

3+ years of special events experience in an upscale or fine dining environment
Fluency in Tripleseat and OpenTable is required
Strong sales mindset with a track record of hitting or exceeding goals
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Polished communication and client-facing presence
Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously in a fast-paced setting
A genuine passion for hospitality and creating unforgettable experiences
