Commercial Plumbing Superintendent – O'Fallon, MO

Commercial Plumbing Superintendent Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of commercial plumbing experience preferred
  • Significant hands-on field experience with a commercial plumbing contractor
  • Previous leadership experience as Foreman, General Foreman, Superintendent, or similar
  • Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and project documents
  • Experience managing multiple crews and foremen
  • Comfortable working on commercial projects ranging from approximately $25K to $2.5M+
  • Union plumbing experience is a plus
  • Strong leadership skills with a practical, hands-on management style

Commercial Plumbing Superintendent Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Oversee commercial plumbing field operations from mobilization through project completion
  • Lead and support multiple plumbing crews and foremen while planning manpower and resources
  • Coordinate daily and weekly field schedules to maintain project timelines
  • Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, inspectors, and other trades
  • Monitor field productivity and resolve scheduling or labor issues proactively
  • Assist with material planning, procurement, and equipment needs
  • Troubleshoot field challenges and provide technical guidance to crews
  • Maintain a strong focus on jobsite safety and quality standards
  • Participate in project planning and constructability reviews
  • Help recruit, develop, and retain skilled field personnel
