Hotel Group Sales Manager – Local & Leisure Business

The Woodlands, Texas | $68,000–$70,000 + Strong Incentive Potential

Are you a hotel sales professional who knows how to get out into the market, build relationships, and create new business?

We are seeking an experienced Hotel Group Sales Manager to support two established select-service hotels in The Woodlands, Texas. Together, the properties offer 263 guest rooms and approximately 4,200 square feet of meeting and event space.

The primary opportunity is to grow weekend group business, particularly Friday through Sunday. We need someone who understands that great hotel sales is not simply responding to leads — it is developing relationships, finding untapped business, staying visible in the community, and converting opportunities into room nights and events.

Compensation & Bonus Potential

  • $65,000–$70,000 base salary
  • Quarterly incentive potential up to 30%
  • Additional 10% performance incentive for exceptional market-share results
  • Opportunity to have a direct and measurable impact on hotel revenue

What You'll Be Doing

You'll take ownership of developing group business throughout The Woodlands and surrounding communities, with particular attention to segments that can drive weekend occupancy.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Prospecting for new group accounts and local partnerships
  • Building business within youth and amateur sports, schools, churches and faith organizations, reunions, associations, social groups, and other community organizations
  • Developing relationships with planners, coaches, community leaders, organizations, and local decision-makers
  • Creating and maintaining an active pipeline through outbound calls, in-person visits, networking, referrals, and community involvement
  • Responding quickly to new opportunities with proposals, pricing, and consistent follow-up
  • Managing shorter booking-window business and moving qualified opportunities efficiently toward contract
  • Growing existing accounts while continuously identifying new revenue sources
  • Participating in local sales initiatives, community events, and market outreach
  • Working closely with hotel leadership to identify opportunities to strengthen weekend occupancy
  • Supporting the Director of Sales with additional group-sales and business-development initiatives

What We're Looking For

This opportunity is best suited to someone who already understands hotel sales and the hotel operating environment.

Ideally, you'll bring:

  • 2–5 years of hotel sales experience
  • Experience selling group, SMERF, leisure, social, or community-based business
  • A demonstrated ability to prospect and generate new accounts, not simply manage inbound inquiries
  • Strong relationship-building and networking skills
  • Confidence representing the hotels throughout the local market
  • Excellent follow-up and organizational skills
  • The ability to manage multiple leads and opportunities at different stages of the sales cycle
  • Comfort working with shorter booking windows and activity-driven sales goals
  • A professional, energetic approach to developing new business
  • Valid driver's license
  • Previous hotel sales experience is required

Build the Business Others Aren't Finding

There is significant opportunity to develop additional business within the local market.

Whether it's a sports team traveling for a tournament, a school or faith organization planning an event, a family reunion, an association gathering, or another community group needing rooms and meeting space, your job is to find the opportunity, build the relationship, and win the business.

For a hotel sales professional who enjoys being visible in the community and wants to see a direct connection between their efforts and property performance, this is an excellent opportunity.

If you're ready to take ownership of a market, build a strong local network, and grow group revenue for two successful hotels, we'd like to hear from you.
