Assistant General Manager – Growing Restaurant Group

Salary: $70,000–$78,000 + Bonus

A rapidly growing restaurant group is seeking an energetic, hands-on Assistant General Manager to join its leadership team. We are looking for a hospitality-driven leader who thrives in a high-volume environment, enjoys developing teams, and is passionate about creating an exceptional guest experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced restaurant manager ready to take the next step or an established AGM looking to join a growing organization with strong advancement potential.

Assistant General Manager Responsibilities:

• Support the General Manager in leading all aspects of daily restaurant operations
• Lead, coach, train, and develop managers and hourly team members
• Maintain high standards for hospitality, service, food quality, and restaurant execution
• Assist with scheduling, labor management, inventory, purchasing, and cost controls
• Monitor operational and financial performance and help identify opportunities for improvement
• Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally
• Maintain company standards for cleanliness, food safety, and compliance
• Help build a positive, accountable culture focused on teamwork and employee development
• Step into the General Manager role as needed and help drive overall restaurant performance

Assistant General Manager Requirements:

• Restaurant management experience in a high-volume, full-service environment
• AGM experience preferred; strong Restaurant Managers ready for the next step will be considered
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Working knowledge of labor, inventory, food cost, and other restaurant financial controls
• Hands-on, energetic, and guest-focused leadership style
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
• ServSafe certification preferred
