A newly established, full-service Italian restaurant in Peachtree City is seeking a charismatic and hospitality-driven General Manager to lead its front-of-house operation.

This approachable neighborhood concept serves handcrafted Italian-inspired dishes, fresh pasta, pizza, wine, spritzes, and cocktails in a lively yet polished environment. The restaurant is designed to become a community gathering place where first-time guests quickly feel like regulars.

We are looking for a dynamic leader who loves being on the floor, building relationships, and creating an atmosphere people want to return to. This is not an office-focused management position. The right General Manager will be highly visible, naturally engaging, and comfortable becoming a recognizable part of the local community.

General Manager Responsibilities

  • Serve as the visible face of the restaurant and maintain a strong presence throughout service
  • Build lasting relationships with regulars, first-time guests, families, and community members
  • Lead all front-of-house operations, including the dining room, patio, bar, reservations, and takeout
  • Create a warm, lively, and approachable neighborhood atmosphere
  • Hire, train, schedule, coach, and develop managers and hourly employees
  • Lead pre-shift meetings and maintain strong menu and beverage knowledge across the team
  • Train employees on wine, cocktails, spritzes, suggestive selling, and hospitality standards
  • Create personalized guest experiences and resolve concerns with urgency and professionalism
  • Monitor service flow, table touches, ticket times, reservations, takeout, and overall presentation
  • Partner closely with culinary leadership to maintain strong communication between FOH and BOH
  • Drive restaurant, beverage, private-event, and repeat-guest sales
  • Manage labor, operating expenses, inventory, and other controllable costs
  • Review financial results and implement strategies that improve performance
  • Oversee cash handling, deposits, invoices, and administrative procedures
  • Maintain compliance with alcohol-service, food-safety, sanitation, and employment requirements
  • Represent the restaurant professionally within the Peachtree City community
  • Help strengthen systems, culture, and guest loyalty within a newer restaurant
  • Create an energetic, respectful, and accountable workplace culture

General Manager Qualifications

  • Previous General Manager, Assistant General Manager, or senior restaurant leadership experience
  • Background in polished casual, upscale casual, Italian, pizza, or another full-service restaurant concept
  • Strong front-of-house and guest-relations experience
  • Naturally engaging personality and professional presence
  • Genuine passion for neighborhood hospitality and building regular business
  • Working wine and beverage knowledge
  • Ability to confidently recommend wine, cocktails, and other beverages
  • Experience training service teams on food, beverages, and hospitality standards
  • Proven ability to hire, develop, motivate, and retain employees
  • Understanding of restaurant financials, including labor and controllable costs
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to remain calm and highly visible during busy services
  • Comfort working within a newer or evolving concept
  • Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods

Formal wine certification is not required, but candidates must be comfortable discussing wine with guests and helping them choose an appropriate selection.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a natural host and community connector. They remember names, recognize returning guests, welcome families, and make first-time visitors feel like they have discovered their new neighborhood favorite.

This leader will be polished without feeling formal, energetic without feeling forced, and financially responsible without losing sight of hospitality. They should bring ideas, personality, and genuine excitement to the restaurant every day.
