The ideal candidate is a strong client-facing leader with proven experience managing electrical distribution systems, cabling, white-space fit-outs, critical facility upgrades, and retrofit work in operational environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical data center projects through preconstruction, construction, commissioning, and final turnover.
  • Maintain compliance with project, client, safety, quality, and operational requirements.
  • Develop and manage project estimates, scopes of work, budgets, schedules, staffing plans, and resource needs.
  • Review proposals, RFPs, specifications, and contract documents; manage change orders and scope modifications.
  • Coordinate project teams, field supervision, craft labor, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Oversee electrical distribution, cabling, white-space build-outs, and coordination with other critical-facility systems.
  • Manage procurement activities and material deliveries to reduce lead-time and schedule risks.
  • Conduct jobsite visits to monitor project progress, resolve field issues, and support safe, quality installation.
  • Track labor performance, project costs, billing, cash flow, staffing, schedule status, and cost-to-complete forecasts.
  • Drive timely billing and collections while protecting project profitability.
  • Provide regular financial, operational, and schedule updates to senior leadership.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, owners, general contractors, vendors, and internal project teams.
  • Mentor project team members and support ongoing development in leadership, organization, communication, and project execution.
  • Identify project risks early and develop corrective-action or recovery plans as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of construction project management experience.
  • 5+ years of electrical project management experience supporting large, complex IT, telecommunications, mission-critical, or data center projects.
  • Experience with data center electrical distribution systems, cabling infrastructure, and white-space fit-outs.
  • Experience working on retrofits or upgrades within occupied, live, or operational critical facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, estimating, scheduling, procurement, project controls, financial forecasting, and change management.
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new construction management systems quickly.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, delegation, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a deadline-driven, high-pressure project environment.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related field; equivalent electrical trade experience, certifications, or licensure may be considered.
  • Journeyman or Master Electrician license.
  • PMP, PMI-SP, or similar project management/scheduling certification.
  • Mission-critical, data center, healthcare, industrial, or other high-reliability project experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, estimating software, ERP systems, and construction project-management platforms.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Retirement plan with employer contribution or matching.
  • Life and disability insurance.
  • Flexible spending accounts.
  • Paid vacation, holidays, and other paid time off.
  • Tuition reimbursement and professional-development support.
  • Employee wellness resources and related support programs.
