We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily plant operations. This role will provide leadership across multiple departments, drive operational excellence, ensure safety and environmental compliance, and work closely with senior leadership to support overall business performance.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations across all plant departments.
• Oversee direct reports including SMP Logistics Coordinator, Production Manager, Production Support, and Shipping & Receiving Manager.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to department managers.
• Ensure safety and environmental training and compliance requirements are met.
• Learn and understand all aspects of processing technology within the facility.
• Utilize Dynamics 365 ERP system for operational management and reporting.
• Monitor production, utilization, and chopping reports.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts related to equipment repairs and operational issues.
• Maintain organization and structure across the plant floor.
• Support administration, commercial, accounting, and IT departments as needed.
• Maintain overall plant housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

• Experience managing operations within a manufacturing, recycling, processing, or industrial environment.
• Strong leadership experience managing multiple departments and teams.
• Ability to analyze production, utilization, and operational reports.
• Experience with ERP systems; Dynamics 365 experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of safety and environmental compliance.
• Ability to troubleshoot operational and equipment-related issues.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
