JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Station Manager to lead our Los Angeles branch operation. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving business growth, overseeing daily branch operations, managing sales and customer relationships, ensuring operational excellence, and owning the branch's full financial performance (P&L).

The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, commercial acumen, and comprehensive knowledge of international freight forwarding — including Ocean Freight, Air Freight, Customs Brokerage, Warehousing, and Domestic Transportation — and is ready to build a performance-driven culture across our Sales, Operations, Customer Service, Warehouse, and Administration teams.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Developing and executing branch sales strategy to hit revenue and profit targets
  • Owning full branch P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Overseeing Ocean/Air Import & Export, Customs Brokerage, Warehousing, Distribution, and Domestic Transportation
  • Recruiting, developing, and leading high-performing Sales, Operations, and Support teams
  • Maintaining strong customer relationships and resolving major account issues
  • Ensuring compliance with FMC, TSA, C-TPAT, CBP, DOT, OSHA, and company SOPs

SALARY & BENEFITS

Salary: $140,000+ annually, commensurate with experience.

Benefits package includes:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) plan with company match
  • Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays
  • Performance-based annual bonus
  • Life and disability insurance
  • Professional development and training support
  • Relocation assistance (if applicable)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field required

Experience

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in international freight forwarding, with hands-on exposure to Ocean Freight, Air Freight, Customs Brokerage, Warehousing, and Domestic Transportation
  • 5+ years in a leadership or management capacity, directly overseeing sales, operations, and/or customer service teams
  • Proven track record managing a logistics branch or station, including full accountability for Profit & Loss (P&L) — budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability improvement
  • Demonstrated success driving new business development and sales growth in a competitive freight forwarding market
  • Strong working knowledge of the U.S. logistics market, including Trans-Pacific trade lanes, domestic distribution networks, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience monitoring and improving operational KPIs such as revenue, gross profit, gross profit per shipment, shipment volume, customer retention, and DSO (accounts receivable)
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks including FMC, TSA, C-TPAT, CBP, DOT, and OSHA

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in automotive logistics, cross-border (Mexico/Canada) logistics, contract logistics, or e-commerce fulfillment
  • Background managing multi-service-line branches (combining ocean, air, customs brokerage, and warehousing under one P&L)
  • Prior experience in a branch or station manager role at a freight forwarder, NVOCC, or third-party logistics (3PL) provider

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to recruit, coach, and retain top talent
  • Sales management and negotiation skills, with a consultative, relationship-driven approach to key accounts
  • Financial acumen, including P&L ownership, budgeting, and financial forecasting
  • Excellent customer relationship management and conflict resolution skills
  • Strategic planning ability, with a focus on identifying new market opportunities and competitive positioning
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
  • Effective communicator across cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, Customer Service, Warehouse, Administration)
