Partner | Franchise Law Attorney Requirements & Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Licensed and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 10+ years of franchise law experience.
- Portable book of business of $500K+ preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to advise franchisors, franchisees, and multi-unit operators.
- Proven client development and relationship management skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and strong communication abilities.
Partner | Franchise Law Attorney Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience mentoring junior attorneys.
- Expertise representing a wide range of franchise-related businesses.
- Ability to collaborate across practice groups and support firm expansion.
Partner | Franchise Law Attorney Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Manage and grow the firm’s franchise law practice.
- Advise clients on franchise compliance, registration, expansion, and operational matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate FDDs, franchise agreements, licensing agreements, and related contracts.
- Counsel on franchise acquisitions, sales, restructurings, and strategic transactions.
- Handle franchise-related disputes and risk management matters.
- Cultivate and strengthen client relationships while generating new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with attorneys across disciplines and help mentor junior team members.
