Director of Finance – Hotel (Virginia/DC Area)

We are seeking a Director of Finance to lead the financial operations of a hotel in the Virginia/DC area. This individual will play a critical role in driving strategic business objectives, partnering closely with the General Manager and ownership to ensure strong financial performance, operational efficiency, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic financial leadership and direction for the property
• Oversee all accounting operations, including payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger
• Ensure accurate and timely ADP payroll processing and compliance
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including balance sheet reconciliations
• Lead profit and loss analysis, identifying trends and opportunities to improve performance
• Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts in partnership with department leaders
• Ensure full compliance with tax reporting, audits, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain strong internal controls and financial policies
• Partner with operational leaders to drive cost controls and maximize profitability
• Communicate financial performance clearly to senior leadership and ownership

Qualifications:

• Strong leadership presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Extensive knowledge of hotel operations and financial systems
• Proven experience in financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis
• Ability to influence and collaborate across departments
• Prior experience in a luxury or full-service hotel environment
