High-end Private Members Club Event Manager/Specialist

A respected Private Members Club in NYC is seeking a motivated Event Manager to oversee private events and ensure exceptional guest experiences. This is a great opportunity for Michelin- or high-end hospitality professionals with event and banquet experience to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative environment.

Event Manager Benefits & Compensation: 90K-110K with experience

Event Manager Requirements & Qualifications

  • Prior experience in banquet operations within hotels or country clubs.
  • Proven ability to execute private or large-scale events.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage and mentor hourly event staff.
  • Proficiency with automated payroll systems preferred.

Event Manager Preferred Background & Skills

  • Experience using the SevenRooms platform
  • Familiarity with inventory management and vendor relations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and client service skills.

Event Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Review and clarify Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) for accuracy and execution.
  • Staff events appropriately and process payroll for hourly staff.
  • Train, mentor, and onboard new event team members.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly inventories for linens, liquor, dishes, and supplies.
  • Coordinate food and beverage execution, set-ups, breakdowns, and back-of-house support.
  • Inspect venues and report on upkeep, repairs, or equipment needs.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with operations and events teams.
  • Address and resolve client requests, issues, or complaints professionally.
  • Manage post-event cash handling and reconcile paperwork.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all menu items and assist in menu training for staff.
  • Provide suggestions for improvements in operations, training, and event execution.
