Non-Ferrous Scrap Yard Manager

Currently seeking a Non-Ferrous Scrap Metal Manager to take charge of purchasing, processing, and day-to-day operations in a fast-paced yard. Key Responsibilities for Non-Ferrous Manager

Oversee daily operations of the non-ferrous division, including purchasing, processing, grading, and outbound sales
Develop and execute buying strategies to grow volume and margin
Manage, train, and mentor yard personnel and sorters to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient material handling
Maintain and expand relationships with dealers, peddlers, industrial accounts, and downstream consumers
Coordinate shipments, logistics, and inventory control to maximize turns and cash flow
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
Monitor market trends and pricing to stay competitive and protect margin

Qualifications for Non-Ferrous Manager

5–10+ years of experience in non-ferrous scrap or recycling
Deep knowledge of non-ferrous grades, specifications, and market pricing
Proven success buying and selling non-ferrous scrap profitably
Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and hold teams accountable
Comfortable in a hands-on yard environment with a strong operational mindset
