Commercial Lines Account Manager
A highly regarded independent insurance agency in the Tarrytown, NY area is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join its growing team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced commercial lines professional who enjoys client service, account management, quoting, renewals, and working in a stable, team-oriented agency environment.
The agency has been serving clients for more than 65 years and is known for strong underwriter relationships, excellent client retention, and an average employee tenure of 15+ years. This role is focused on servicing, account rounding, and warm referrals. No cold outreach required.
Compensation & Benefits
- $80,000–$100,000 base salary
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- 401(k) with company match
- 15 vacation days + 5 sick days to start
- Approximately 16 paid/observed holidays
- 35-hour work week
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM with a one-hour lunch
- This role offers a hybrid schedule after training.
Responsibilities
- Manage and service a small to mid-market commercial lines book of business
- Handle soup-to-nuts account management, including quoting, binding, endorsements, renewals, and client service
- Work with a generalist commercial book across a range of industries
- Quote both new business and renewal business
- Review coverage needs and identify account rounding opportunities
- Communicate with clients, carriers, underwriters, and internal team members
- Support a high-retention book with responsive, professional service
- Maintain accurate account documentation in the agency management system
Qualifications
- Active NY Property & Casualty license required
- 3+ years of commercial lines account management experience required
- Independent agency commercial lines servicing experience strongly preferred
- Experience with small to mid-market commercial accounts
- Experience quoting new and renewal business
- Applied Epic experience preferred
- Must be comfortable working primarily onsite during training
