Our client is seeking a Rock Star Executive Chef to lead a high-volume restaurant and event-driven culinary operation in Honolulu. Executive Chef Requirements & Qualifications
- Extensive progressive culinary leadership experience within high-volume restaurant operations
- Current or previous Executive Chef-level leadership strongly preferred
- Proven experience leading high-volume, full-service restaurant culinary operations
- Strong P&L knowledge with demonstrated ability to manage food cost, labor, purchasing, and profitability
- Proven ability to recruit, train, coach, develop, and retain high-performing culinary teams
- Strong understanding of kitchen scheduling, forecasting, inventory, and operational controls
- Ability to maintain consistent recipe execution, food quality, presentation, and speed of service
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and local health regulations
- Required food management and safety certifications
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business demands
Executive Chef Preferred Background & Skills
- Current Hawaii culinary leadership experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of the Honolulu/Waikiki hospitality and culinary market
- High-volume polished casual, upscale casual, resort, or entertainment restaurant experience
- Experience with banquet, catering, private dining, and large-scale events
- Proven success managing and developing diverse culinary teams
- Strong track record of building kitchen culture and developing future leaders
- Creative culinary mindset balanced with disciplined recipe and brand execution
- Experience managing complex, high-volume operations in destination or tourism-driven markets
- Strong career stability and progressive leadership responsibility
